Key Responsibilities:
- Sushi Preparation: Prepare high-quality sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and maki rolls using traditional and modern techniques.
- Ingredient Management: Ensure the freshness and quality of all sushi ingredients, including fish, rice, and vegetables.
- Menu Development: Assist in creating new sushi dishes and menu items based on customer preferences and market trends.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards following HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations.
- Kitchen Coordination: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely preparation of orders.
- Knife Skills & Presentation: Utilize precise knife techniques for sushi cutting and plating to ensure visually appealing presentations.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimize waste while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Customer Engagement: Interact with customers when required, explaining sushi selections and ensuring satisfaction with their dining experience.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in sushi preparation, cutting techniques, and various sushi-making styles.
- Food Safety Certification: HACCP certification and familiarity with food handling regulations.
- Availability: Must be currently in Qatar with a transferable visa and NOC.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, creativity in presentation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Nationality: Open to all nationalities
