Job responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all scaffolding operations across the site in compliance with safety standards and engineering requirements
- Assist the site manager in the delivery and coordination of day-to-day scaffolding activities
- Serve as the focal point for maintenance scaffolding delivery, ensuring effective communication and resolution of execution issues
- Provide expert guidance on complex scaffolding erection and dismantling
- Conduct scaffold surveys, prepare risk assessments, and ensure structural load safety
- Supervise a team of scaffolders, ensuring work quality and compliance with HSE regulations
- Monitor and manage scaffolding materials, ensuring availability and proper inventory tracking
- Enforce strict adherence to company specifications, safety standards, and permit to work systems
- Read, interpret, and provide input on technical scaffolding drawings and structural load calculations
- Support incident response, investigation, and implementation of corrective actions
- Utilize SAP/CMMS software to report progress, costs, and KPI performance metrics
- Ensure all scaffolding operations are compliant with BS EN 12811 standards, NASC technical guides, and best industry practices
- Coordinate with other departments, vendors, and contractors to meet scaffolding requirements for projects and maintenance activities
- Conduct safety toolbox talks and participate in safety inspections and audits
Qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of working experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas, or refining industry, with at least:
- 5 years as a scaffolding superintendent
- 3 years as a scaffolding supervisor/inspector
- Diploma in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related discipline)
- Must have a CISRS gold card certification
- Completed engineering apprenticeship or scaffolding training
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, materials, load calculations, and hazard control
- Familiarity with BS EN 12811 standards, technical specifications, and NASC guides
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office and SAP/CMMS systems
- Valid Qatar driving license preferred (not mandatory)
- Demonstrated leadership and safety management skills
- Nationality: Filipino male
Salary : 💵 10,000 to 12,000 QAR 💵(full package)
