Key responsibilities:
- Oversee all receiving functions, ensuring timely and accurate data entry into the system
- Maintain effective inventory control procedures, including cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and reconciliation
- Ensure efficient inventory turnover using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to minimize waste and improve accuracy
- Maintain appropriate stocking levels to meet operational needs and avoid shortages or overstock
- Coordinate with the procurement team and suppliers for timely order placement, delivery tracking, and purchase follow-ups
- Collaborate with management to schedule and coordinate shipments in line with business demands
- Label and organize all inventory in coordination with the warehouse team, ensuring smooth product movement and accessibility
- Oversee inventory across multiple storage sites, ensuring consistent practices and standards across all locations
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, price changes, and delivery lead times
- Generate reports on inventory, purchasing trends, and discrepancies for review by senior management
- Support in developing and implementing inventory management policies and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory or purchasing coordination, preferably within retail, hospitality, or logistics sectors
- Strong understanding of inventory control procedures, stock rotation systems, and inventory planning
- Proficient in inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in record-keeping and reporting
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple departments
- Familiarity with import/export processes and local procurement practices in Qatar is a plus
