ICT Asset Management Administrator (Local Hire Qatar)

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Develop lifecycle strategies for computer systems, hardware, software, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage software agreements, license renewals, and vendor contracts.
  • Collaborate with IT vendors to discuss hardware/software costs, procurement, and new product implementations.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of IT assets through asset management systems.
  • Oversee IT service desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of support tickets and work orders.
  • Provide budget management for IT administrative functions and optimize IT spending.
  • Support IT procurement activities, including purchasing laptops, printers, and software for office and remote use.
  • Supervise and evaluate IT support staff, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor and improve customer service quality in IT asset management processes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for asset deployment and system upgrades.
  • Implement best practices in IT asset and configuration management to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset management, budget administration, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience in IT service desk operations, IT support, and system administration.
  • Well-versed in IT asset lifecycle, licensing models, and configuration management.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or CITAM (Certification in IT Asset Management) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in asset management tools, ITSM platforms, and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
