Key responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs in food preparation and basic cooking duties
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables and marinating meats
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and utensils
- Follow standard recipes and instructions from the chef de partie or sous chef
- Support the team during busy service hours and large orders
- Ensure all food is stored properly and safely
- Comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP)
- Assist in stock rotation and inventory checks
- Help with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup when required
- Show willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of senior chefs
Job requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a commi chef or kitchen helper
- GCC experience preferred
- Good knowledge of Indian cuisine, international dishes, and healthy food preparation
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to work under pressure
- Must be locally available in Qatar with valid and transferable visa
