Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of bread and pastries, including baguettes, croissants, bagels, and other baked goods.
• Ensure consistency and quality in all baked products according to the company’s standards.
• Follow recipes and adjust them as needed based on production requirements or customer preferences.
• Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and the general quality of baked goods to achieve the best results.
• Mix ingredients to form dough and batter, following traditional and modern recipes.
• Decorate pastries using various techniques to enhance their appearance and appeal.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
• Perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Assist in inventory management, ensuring a sufficient supply of baking ingredients.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage orders and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Keep up-to-date with baking trends and introduce new techniques or recipes to enhance the product line.
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients and baked goods to maintain freshness.
• Prepare doughs and batters for future use by measuring and weighing ingredients as per the recipe guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen.
• Extensive knowledge of different baking techniques, including bread-making, pastries, and croissants.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality baguettes, croissants, bagels, and a wide variety of baked goods.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Sample photos of previous baking work are required as part of the application.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while following instructions.
• Good organizational and time management skills to meet production demands.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings and weekends if necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player.
