Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Control (QC) measures for marine projects.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, IMS, and HSE policies to meet industry standards.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality assessments during refit, retrofit, and new builds.
- Coordinate with operations teams and project managers to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Supervise welding and fabrication inspections as per CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent certification.
- Oversee Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) execution, ensuring quality and delivery of assigned projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on quality standards and best practices.
- Prepare detailed quality reports and documentation for internal and client use.
- Identify non-conformities and initiate corrective/preventive actions for quality improvement.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on quality procedures and compliance.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
- Welding Inspection (CSWIP 3.1) certification or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in a lead position.
- Proven experience in marine refit, retrofit, and new building fabrication & installations.
- Strong knowledge of inspection, reporting, and quality management systems.
- Experience with ISO, IMS, and industry quality control frameworks.
- Proficiency in inspection coordination, auditing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure timely quality deliverables.
- Age below 40 years old preferred.
