Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Ellucian Banner application installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches.
• Perform routine monitoring and tuning of Ellucian Banner applications and Oracle database performance.
• Upgrade Ellucian Banner from R8.x to R9.x and ensure smooth transitions to the latest releases.
• Execute cloning, backup, and recovery tasks for Banner applications and databases.
• Install and compile Banner jobs using Perl, C Programs, COBOL, and Java.
• Set up load balancing and configure SSL certificates for secure data transmission across Banner applications.
• Integrate Ellucian Banner with third-party applications like Blackboard, CRM Advise, Digital Measure, Qatar Post, and MOTC.
• Install and configure Ethos Identity to manage user authentication across systems.
• Conduct regular health checks and troubleshooting of both Banner applications and Oracle databases.
• Oversee Banner ERP administration, including user management, form registration, printer setup, and auditing.
• Manage Oracle RAC clusters and implement Oracle Data-guard/Standby in the RAC environment.
• Perform Oracle RMAN backup and recovery, ensuring database availability and disaster recovery.
• Scripting and automation using Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, and SQL to improve system processes.
• Provide technical support by diagnosing and resolving database and application issues.
• Ensure role-based access control is implemented securely across the Ellucian Banner system.
• Offer technical training and support to staff, including end-user guides and configuration setup.
• Collaborate with DBAs, system designers, developers, and other technical teams to troubleshoot and fix issues.
• Create and manage vendor support tickets and change requests for CAB approval.
• Provide on-call support and availability for urgent issues as part of a regular or off-hours schedule.
• Administer Infosilem Classroom Scheduling, CRM Advise, and Evision Argos by performing installation, configuration, upgrades, and backups.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or any Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Ellucian Banner application administration and Oracle database management.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is required.
• Strong expertise in Oracle RAC, SQL, Perl/Python scripting, and integration with third-party systems.
• Extensive experience with Banner upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
