The Telecom Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems, ensuring reliable voice, data, and network services for clients or internal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication equipment such as PBX, VoIP, routers, switches, and cabling.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of network and communication systems.
• Assist in setting up and testing fiber optic and copper cabling for connectivity.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service requests, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure proper system functionality.
• Follow safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.
• Provide technical support to clients and resolve service issues promptly.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT, or related field.
• Proven experience in telecom installation, maintenance, and support.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, cabling, fiber optics, VoIP, and telecom protocols.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
