Pastry Chef (Overseas Hire)

Job Purpose

The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, breads, and specialty desserts according to company standards. The role requires strong technical skills, creativity, and the ability to produce consistent products in a fast-paced kitchen environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Bake croissants, bread, baguettes, and other artisan bakery items.
• Create customized cakes based on client or company requirements.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and production schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the pastry section.
• Ensure food safety compliance and proper handling of ingredients.
• Present products with high-quality finishing and attention to detail.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to meet daily production targets.
• Submit sample photos/videos of previous pastry work (required for screening).


Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in pastry or bakery production.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, dough preparation, and baking methods.
• Ability to make croissants, breads, baguettes, and specialty pastries.
• Skilled in customized cake design and decoration.
• Must provide sample photos and videos of previous work.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good time management, creativity, and attention to detail.
