HSE Officer (Building Construction)
Job Purpose
The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring safety compliance at the construction site by implementing health, safety, and environmental standards. The role promotes a safe working environment and ensures adherence to regulatory and project-based HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct regular safety inspections of scaffolding, formwork, equipment, and site activities.
• Implement HSE plans, procedures, and project-specific risk assessments.
• Monitor site compliance with Qatar safety regulations, QCS, and company policies.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to site staff.
• Identify unsafe conditions/behaviors and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare reports and follow up on corrective measures.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety rules.
• Coordinate internal and external HSE audits.
• Maintain HSE records, documentation, and checklists.
Requirements
• NEBOSH IGC Certification (Mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years Gulf experience in construction HSE.
• Strong understanding of site safety standards and hazard controls.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Valid Qatar Driving License preferred/required.
