Key Responsibilities:
- • Carry out routine, preventive, and breakdown electrical maintenance on QatarEnergy vehicles and equipment, including fire trucks, ambulances, cranes, forklifts, and lifting equipment.
- • Perform repairs according to OEM recommendations and QatarEnergy safety standards.
- • Conduct regular inspections on electrical systems and accessories, maintaining logs and ensuring system reliability.
- • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using electrical testing tools and read/interpret electrical diagrams for accurate repair.
- • Monitor and maintain air-conditioning systems in mobile cranes, trucks, pickups, and fire vehicles.
- • Check, collect, and manage required spare parts and tools for maintenance tasks at the workshop or site locations.
- • Complete Job Cards, maintain full work history in the maintenance management system, and follow all EHS procedures.
- • Attend field breakdowns and prepare detailed reports.
- • Assist other technicians and skilled helpers during repair tasks as required by the Workshop Foreman.
- • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
- • Support in preparing work procedures and spare parts lists.
- • Keep the workshop and premises clean and organized.
- • Perform any additional duties assigned by the QatarEnergy Representative or Deputy.
Requirements:
- • 2-year Automobile Diploma/Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute.
- • Minimum 10 years’ experience in auto-electrical maintenance of industrial/heavy vehicles in an oil & gas environment.
- • Strong expertise as an Auto Electrician, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing heavy vehicles, cranes, trucks, fire trucks, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- • Ability to trace electrical faults, read electrical diagrams, and use advanced troubleshooting tools.
- • Good knowledge of hydraulic systems used in cranes, forklifts, and truck-mounted cranes.
- • Good written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.
- • Valid Qatari Plant & Heavy-Duty Driving License (Crane, Loader, Forklift, Trailer, etc.).
- • Must possess Third-Party Lifting Certificates for functional testing of equipment and vehicles.
- • Safety-conscious, with strong adherence to QatarEnergy’s safety and environmental procedures.
