Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed technical shop drawings, fabrication drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and layouts for aluminum works such as curtain walls, doors, windows, façades, and cladding systems using AutoCAD.
- Translate architectural and structural drawings into accurate, functional, and production-ready drawings.
- Prepare and manage aluminum cutting lists, material take-offs (MTO), and material request sheets (MRS) for fabrication and production.
- Review tender, architectural, and structural drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Revise and update drawings based on consultant, client, or site comments, ensuring proper revision control.
- Apply technical knowledge of aluminum profiles and systems (e.g., Technal, Reynaers, Gulf Extrusions).
- Coordinate closely with project managers, production teams, and site engineers to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
- Ensure timely submission of shop drawings for approval in line with project schedules.
- Maintain accuracy in measurements, calculations, and detailing to minimize fabrication and installation errors.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably in aluminum, façade, metals, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); experience with 3D design software is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of aluminum fabrication, façade engineering, or curtain wall detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural details, and technical specifications.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy in drafting and measurements.
- Ability to manage multiple drawings and revisions efficiently.
- Good coordination and communication skills to work with internal teams and site staff.
- Knowledge of Qatar construction standards and practices is an advantage.
