Accountant (Building Construction)
Job Purpose
The Accountant is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, project costing, payroll, invoicing, and financial documentation. The role ensures accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards and Qatar regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain daily accounting entries, ledgers, and financial records.
• Prepare project costing reports and monitor budget vs. actual expenses.
• Manage payroll processing, overtime calculations, and staff reimbursements.
• Handle petty cash, supplier payments, and bank transactions.
• Prepare invoices, follow up on collections, and maintain receivables/payables.
• Conduct account reconciliations (bank, vendor, project cost).
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documents.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar accounting standards, VAT/QTR regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with project teams for financial updates and documentation.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience, preferably in building construction or contracting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems / Tally / accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of project costing, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Good communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
